27 Jul Back-to-School is the Perfect Time to Start Your Customer Service Career
Within a few short weeks, it’ll be back-to-school time. Students will be heading off to campus for their fall semester, parents will be sending their kids back to the classroom, and what will YOU be doing?
If you’re attending college locally in Kansas City or you’re going to have more free time on your hands with your kids back in school, it’s the perfect time to start your customer service career at Centrinex call center. No matter your age, whether you’ve been out of the workforce for a while or you’re ready to make a change to a career that works better for your schedule, then you’ll be in the right place with Centrinex.
Choose Part-Time Hours with a Set Schedule
For college students, restaurants and retail are the typical go-to places for a job because the hours can work around class schedules. The problems with working as a server or in retail are that your schedule can change every week and could mean working late nights, leaving you little time for classwork and having a life. Not to mention being called in last minute to cover other people’s shifts.
For parents of school-aged children, the ability to work part time and have a set schedule is essential for planning for child care and activities.
Centrinex has part-time shift options for customer service agents, usually 4-hour shifts between the hours of 10:30 am and 6:00 pm, depending on the client for which you take or make calls.
We’ve found offering a part-time option ensures college students have the flexibility they need to attend class during the day and parents, especially those with elementary-aged kids, can attend school activities and holiday parties.

What Do Centrinex’s Part-Time Customer Service Representatives Do?
Centrinex isn’t your typical call center. Our clients are in banking, financial services and other industries, such as healthcare, transportation and government. They hire Centrinex to be their call center, handling their inbound and outbound calls.
What does “inbound and outbound calls” mean? Inbound calls are when people call in because they need help or information with their accounts. Outbound calls are when our call center representatives call a customer to provide help or information that the customer has specifically requested. That means the people our agents talk to want help or information. No cold calling and trying to sell things to strangers.
WHAT A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CENTRINEX EMPLOYEE LOOKS LIKE
Is Being a Centrinex Call Center Agent Hard?
No. Typically, you work for an assigned Centrinex client. From your first training session through your first time taking or making calls on your own, our team is always right there with you.
During training, you’re learning and working with others, plus some of our trainers started out in the same position you’ll be filling. Once you’re working as a call center representative, your supervisor is always available to answer your questions and offer support.
