Centrinex Employees Get Going on Health Goals with Go365

There are many jobs that require sitting for long periods of time. So much so that it’s said that sitting is the new smoking in terms of negative effects on your health.

In the call center business, we live and die by the numbers, and we tend to sit a lot because we’re on the phone. So, when our management discovered that Go365®, a personalized wellness and rewards program, published a five-year study showing that the program could show bottom line benefits to an organization, we invested in offering it to our employees in customer service jobs and other roles.

The decision to add Go365 to our employee benefits was a no brainer. Everyone knows the benefits of taking employees’ health seriously.

Why Go365?

Health and wellness programs in the workplace are becoming more common in the U.S. The Results of the Workplace Health in America Survey says nearly half of all workplaces in the nation offer some level of health promotion or wellness programs. These programs are helping employers reduce their employees’ health care costs, but also are used to attract and keep great employees. But there is another reason.

We’re not going to sugarcoat this. Our call center employees, from support staff, managers, executives to customer service reps are a fun, competitive bunch. Over the years, Centrinex has sponsored a number of competitions with some pretty tremendous prizes. There have been Fitbit competitions, team participation in the annual Corporate Challenge, as well as hosting a luncheon featuring boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard.

Go365 is an easy platform where we can create health challenges that Centrinex employees can join. Joining and participating in a Go365 challenge earns points that can be redeemed through the program for gift cards from hundreds of retailers, fitness gear and more. Go365 participants can also earn points for doing many other activities on their own. More on how it works later.

        Go365 pulls data from items we use all the time, such as fitness trackers and smartphones to promote regular exercise, participation in fitness challenges and reinforce healthy choices.


Go365 Every Day Keeps the Doctor Away

When Centrinex employees participate in Go365, we can experience health benefits now and even more down the road.

Go365 states that we can expect the number of our employees who live a healthy lifestyle (eating fruits and vegetables, exercising more each week) and who had healthy biometric results (such as blood pressure) increases over the course of five years.

A Go365 study found that employees who actively participated for 5 years versus those who barely participated:

      • Paid an average of $116 less in healthcare
      • Reported 55 percent fewer sick/unhealthy days
      • Had an average of 35 percent fewer emergency room visits and 30 percent fewer hospital admissions


As you know, stress can wreak havoc on your health. Go365 includes activities and programs geared toward helping participants reduce stress levels and manage things that stress us out. Examples include weight loss, meditation, nutrition and more.

How Go365 Works

Centrinex employees sign up for the program and link their wellness apps and devices, like Fitbit, to Go365. You can use the app to learn about your health, earn points and move up the levels: bronze, silver, gold and platinum—in that order. The Go365 app syncs with wellness app and device data, so you earn points for activities like joining a Step Challenge, checking in at your gym, getting a vision exam and much more. The more you participate, the more points you earn and can redeem for rewards.
